Everest Region

The Everest region OR the Solu-Khumbu region is one of the most popular trekking destinations of Nepal. It would probably be the most popular trekking and climbing destination for both trekkers and climbers from around the world to challenge themselves and assess their outdoor potential. Solu-Khumbu is popular not only for its proximity to Everest (8848m) but also for its inhabitants, their Culture, Sherpa villages, and monasteries. Besides climbing, the most significant feature of the Everest region is the Trek to Everest Base Camp (5360m) and climb to Kala-Patthar (5545m) which delivers the most dramatic view that is away from the world. Everest falls under the Sagarmatha National Park established in 1976 and it is a natural World Heritage Site. Everest region is basically dominated by the Tibetan Origin people who call themselves as the SHERPAS who are typically Buddhist. As you trek in the region you can very easily notice the Tibetan Buddhism influence with all the prayer walls, prayer wheels, and prayer flags everywhere that has a Tibetan mantra inscription. You can start your journey from Solu that is more tropical with all the woodlands and ample vegetation to alpine which is rugged with moraine and glaciers. From the low elevation, you can get as far as the top of the world that is 8848m / 29,028 feet. Everest Region offers abundant adventure variation from easy to super extreme.
